Telemedicine Help

Telemedicine consults are provided by prior arrangement. Because no insurance company currently reimburses for Telemedicine between a patient and his/her physician, all transactions are cash (i.e. PayPal) or credit card (by telephone) only.

Please call for a Telemedicine consult first:

(530) 458-3243
(or (530) 458-3243 x1027 during off-hours)

You will be asked to pay for the consult using the PayPal services on this website or by credit card over the telephone. When the payment has been processed, start up your Skype (or other arranged videoconferencing program) to start the consult.

Note: In addition to PayPal, credit card payments are also accepted directly over the phone during clinic business hours. Please call the telephone number listed above.

Requirements:

If you desire a Telemedicine consult from a location that already has Telemedicine (such as the Colusa Regional Medical Center Emergency Department), simply request the staff there to direct you.

If you wish a Telemedicine consult from your own computer, you must have videoconferencing (including an account) already established using Skype or Ekiga videoconferencing software. (Other software can also be accomodated by request). Obviously, you must also have a functioning webcam (and microphone) to use videoconferencing. Make sure you have the necessary hardware and software functioning before requesting a Telemedicine consult.
